The Department of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified Junior Specialists to conduct research in all our disciplines including Biophysics, Condensed Matter Experimental Physics, High Energy Experimental Physics, Gravity and Relativity, Mathematical Physics, and Atomic and Molecular Physics. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from part-time to 100% time. Positions may also be for 1 year or less than 1 year. Appointees at this level enable research as part of a team.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Physics or closely related field, or be enrolled in a Bachelor's program at the time of application.
A bachelor's degree is required in one of the following fields: Physics, Biophysics, Condensed Matter Experimental Physics, High Energy Experimental Physics, Gravity and Relativity, Mathematical Physics, or Atomic and Molecular Physics by the time of appointment.
At least 2 years of previous research experience in Physics or closely related field.
